As you may or may not know, I got married this summer!
It actually was the best day ever- you can believe the hype about your wedding day.
I have a lot of reflections about wedding planning and the first month after the big day, but they just don’t feel ready to be shared. However, I just can’t wait to show you some of our pictures (taken by the goddess, Kayla Lupean).
Please enjoy a few of the pictures! (And if you’re interested, my vows to Jeff can be found after the photos.)

The work of creating our ceremony and vows felt impossible until we started doing it, which is how most difficult tasks go I guess.
Below, you will find my vows to Jeff.
I spent a large amount of time–nearly my whole life–believing that I would never marry. I truly thought that I would be too busy having adventures for a loving relationship or marriage.
I never saw you coming, Jeff McNerney, but I am so grateful every day that we found each other when the time was exactly right.
The truth I have realized in these past years with you is that loving you, and being your partner and friend is an adventure, and it is better than any adventure I could dream of on my own.
You make me want to be a better partner and a better person every day, and as we begin a new chapter in our adventure book, I am going to commit to you, in front of all these people, 3 things.
One. I promise to be an active participant in this marriage: to engage in the conversations that make me uncomfortable, even when my instincts are telling me to shy away; to listen and hear what I need hear and to speak up when it’s time to speak up. Please hold me to this.
Two. I promise to try to be my best self every day. I will walk the dog with you, even when I am really sleepy and would rather be in bed. I will join you in dish fellowship, even when I would much rather keep my nose in my book. And I will love you just as much every evening as I do every morning, and always remind you that you are smart and funny and handsome.
Three. I promise to continually seek out adventures with you. I will try new things and go new places with you. We will conquer our fears together, and our world will expand because of it.
I know that these are lofty promises, and I know that there will be many, many days where I will fall short and very short. But I vow to try every day, because I love you, because you are my best friend, and because I only want you to have the most wonderful life.
Thank you for being a patient, patient partner. Thank you for showing me what kindness and devotion look like every single day. Thank you for loving me through my dark times and for celebrating with me our happy times. Thank you for laughing at my bad jokes and for playing “finish the lyrics” with me. Thank you for choosing me every single morning, and loving me so fully and completely until we go to bed each night.
I love you with my whole heart, Jeff McNerney, and I can’t wait to begin this new adventure with you.
